Photos of Duggan House on site

dug21

The photographs of this house were taken in 2007. The following photographs were taken during the construction phase……

The house is constructed using timber frame technology. Here are a few snaps while it was being errected….

You will notice the curved zinc finished roof on the second wing of the house. Cedar cladding is detailed wih alternating panel directions.

These photographs were takenĀ  just after the breathable paper was fixed to the timber frame. The building was not quite water tight, but you can still see the airtight taping detail around the exterior of the windows. This was followed by an air tightness test, once the external envelope was practicall complete. With current building regulations, it is imperative that this level of detailing is achieved, to minimise the ingress of air into the building.
